Welcome to my photography blog. I have been an outdoor and nature photographer for the past 25 years. I have been published as both a writer and photographer. I market my images directly to photo researchers, magazine and book editors.

At various points in my career, I have been employed as a national park ranger/photographer at Morristown National Historical Park (NJ), Yosemite National Park (CA), Shenandoah National Park (VA), and at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (NJ/PA).

About a dozen years ago, I started teaching photography classes at local schools and colleges. Teaching others to see artistically and to master their cameras is very rewarding and something I continue to do to this date. In addition to formal classes, I also conduct nature photography workshops and offer private customized instruction. My website can be found at http://www.pbase.com/sammyt/outdoor_and_nature_photography

The purpose of this blog is to share ideas, review equipment, offer shooting tips, and provide insight into the best locations for outdoor photography.

Please be sure to leave comments in the comments section on this site. Your feedback is very important to me. I’m looking forward to hearing from you and working on this blog.
